As 2018 is coming to an end, many are reflecting on this year and are setting New Year’s resolutions. Being more organised is – as in previous years – one of the top resolutions. Does that surprise you? Not us. After all, being more organised reduces your stress, you waste less food, energy and money and you improve your relationships with your family, friends and at work.

To support you having your best year yet, we’ve created our gift for you: Our 2019 calendar.

Be amazing

Every month in our be more organised calendar is dedicated to a specific theme: From looking at spending less, getting ready for the outdoor season to going on a road trip.

Some themes involve some physical activities (e.g. when moving last season’s clothes away). Others are focused on more electronic items (e.g. clearing and controlling your inbox). We also have some months where you can focus on yourself and reflect.

Be decisive

Each month gives you 3 tips to start your decluttering and organising journey. These tips are practical and can be carried out in any order. The main point is for you to make a start, no matter how big or small it is. What do you want to change and improve?

Just how we’ve dedicated each month to an area, also making it easier for you to follow, you can give each month a specific name. We’ve named February the “fight the paper February”. It will give us that extra push to organise our own papers.

Be active

For every month, you can write down your actions. Be specific with your steps. This will make it easier for you to follow through.

Give yourself a realistic timeframe to work on each action.  Making it too short can be frustrating and potentially preventing you from achieving your decluttering and organising goals. If you fall off track, don’t worry. Start where you are then and there.

Once you’ve completed an action, you get to tick it off. Isn’t that little tick so satisfying?! It also keeps you going. You can see your progress. Keep at it!
