Be creative this month

Let your creativity flow

March is a wonderful month! My loved ones came to visit, Emirates Lit Fest is going on and so many arty projects are happening all over Dubai.

How often do you use your right side of the brain? If you are anything like me, your job may demand you to use your logical, detail oriented, analytical and rational left side of the brain throughout the day. The creative side is so often left behind. Maybe that’s why I’m so super excited to bring you this month’s creative highlights.

City Walk Canvas (until 7 March)

Be amazed by the artistic abilities of artists invited from all over the world. We had a chance to speak with some while they put on the finishing touches. Depending on where you stand, you see the picture in a completely different perspective. Every time you move and view the canvas, you discover new bits. Fascinating!

This exhibition is taking place in the new part of City Walk. Stay for dinner or a late coffee!

Emirates Lit Festival (until 11 March)

If you haven’t been out to its first weekend, you can still participate in creative writing workshops or listen to some spectacular stories until this weekend.City Walk Pre-Opening creative creativity

If you haven’t been to DUCTAC at the top of Mall of the Emirates, you’ve missed a true little gem. Their classes range from drawing, sculpture to photography, creative writing, dance and fashion design. Many of the courses are ongoing, allowing you to start this week and to continue for as long as you want.

DUCTAC is also home to the performing arts for local groups like the award-winning Danu Group and host to visiting performers.

ARTSPACE (until 7 April)

Held in DIFC, ARTSPACE Dubai is dedicated to the promotion of Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art. Supporting private collectors, art consultants as well as architects and interior designers, amongst many other art-related organisations, ARTSPACE partners with art houses, galleries and auction establishments.

Once I’ve put away the paper work for tomorrow, I’ll go back to my little art project. At the moment, it’s a lot of experimenting, checking what’s working and what’s not. Once it’s progressing a bit more, I’ll probably share it in a blog post.

If you’ll see me at one of these creative events, come over and say hi. It’d be great to meet you in person!

Until next time,
Agni
